Team (Copy) - Serene Singh Serene Singh is a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford completing her postgraduate studies in Public Policy. A Truman Scholar and an alumnus of the University of Colorado, Singh graduated with summa cum laude honors in Political Science and Journalism degrees and attained a minor in Leadership Studies. Serene made TSP after losing a best friend, a survivor, to suicide. As a model, she saw the effect of unhealthy beauty ideals, but also, the power runways have to grow confidence. While working in the US Senate on violence, trafficking, and rape policies she noticed womxn survivors were never in-charge of the settings where changes impacting survivors were created. Serene dreamt of empowering survivors to dream again. Transforming pain into power. Additionally, as a Founder of the National Sikh Youth Program, an organization created to invest and mentor young Sikh Americans, Oxford Bhangra Society (Punjabi Indian folk dance), and the Rhodes Interfaith Alliance, Singh cares deeply about challenging stereotypes, fighting against injustice, and promoting diversity.
